Epicly Later'd : Josh Kalis Episode 5

This is the best episode in an already epic Josh Kalis installment. We've already had all the Kalis exploits, mixed with stories about Sheffey, Jamie Thomas, and Rob Dyrdek; but here's the best story yet, the ongoing saga of Lennie Kirk. Man, I forgot about this kid but his "Time Code" part is burnt into my cerebellum; these days I need a lil remindin from time to time. Kirk's part in the video was amazing when it first came out, and it still holds up. The kid was an absolute animal. That grind on the dumpster is just a quick flash in the video, but dude was blind for a few hours after that head tap. The guy goes hardcore no matter what he's doing; skating, preaching, sticking people up, it doesn't matter. You have to respect that. Obviously he needs some help focusing his passion, but he's got it shooting out of every pore. The world is desperately lacking those kind of people right now. Anyway, just watch it for yourself.

And here's Lennie's part in "Time Code". I have to agree with Jamie Thomas; this is one of my all time favorite parts. The gospel music, the slams, mixed with real footage of him getting ready to preach, in cornrows no less! It's all crazy, but it's the rawness, and the dude's talent that make this one a classic.

You know what...the whole "Time Code" video is so dope, here's the whole thing. The quality sucks but whatever. If you haven't watched it, this is a definite piece of skateboarding history. I remember watching it when it first came out and thinking how revolutionary it was. Nothing else at the time looked quite like this did. It was put together like a piece of art, and that left an impression on me. Its amazing to see how influential it has been, and how whack it looks now. Man, I'm getting old. Anyway, please enjoy.
