Police Van Plows Through Group Of Pedestrians In Egypt.

Things are really starting to get ugly in Egypt. What started as passionate protests aimed at a 29 year dictatorship, have now taken a more violent and scary turn. Mubarak continues to hold his ground; using the ole' "the countries gonna completely fall apart if I leave now" trick. Dictators, so predictable. Everyone senses the instability of the regime and because of this, total chaos has erupted on the streets of Cairo with numerous groups with as many different agendas (some positive, many not)all battling for control of the people. History shows us that, whoever gains control of the public and can mobilize them with the right rhetoric, will ultimately gain control of the entire country. I fear that if this revolution fails or if it falls into the hands of the wrong individuals, the conflict will only serve to fuel the propaganda that preaches the uselessness of social uprising. This struggle is huge, this isn't just another little skirmish "over there", this effects the entire course of human history. A precedent will be set either way. We must never allow our comfortable lives to blind us from the fact that governments are erected to serve, protect, and facilitate the people. Anytime they begin to stray from that very narrow path, They risk slipping into tyranny. It really is that simple.

Don't lose hope Egypt! Stay strong. Your plight will not be forgotten. Power to the People!
