Banksy's Identity Auction Removed From eBay

With at least three individuals willing to pay $1,000,000 for documents supposedly revealing the identity of the infamous artist, the auction was shut down just hours before closing. Whoever didn't see this one coming probably hasn't been watching this guy's career that closely. Banksy's more recent pranks are definitely grabbing headlines but they don't carry that same biting satire and almost prophetic cultural critique that his earlier works did. I dunno...I guess he did prove a great point, there are idiots out there with WAY too much dough. Here's a link to today's LA Times article http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/culturemonster/2011/01/is-the-banksy-identity-auction-on-ebay-for-real.html
